Stefán Karl Stefánsson
Stefán Karl Stefánsson was born on July 10th, 1975, in the city of Hafnarfjörður. He has dark brown hair, blue eyes, and is about 6'4".When Stefán was 12 years old, he was cast a minor a role in Robin Hood. Years later, he graduated from the Icelandic Academy of The Arts, and became a big name in his native Iceland when he signed up with the National Theater in Iceland. Stefán has been well-known for his comedic roles, such a the all singing and dancing gay sheep farmer in Stella for Office. and skits he created for the New Year's Eve Comedy Hour Variety Show. Later, Stefán was cast as Glanni Glæpur in Glanni Glæpur í Latibær. Fives years later, Stefán was cast as Robbie Rotten on Lazy Town, which became very popular. Besides Lazy Town, Stefán has lent his voice for the role of a Viking warrior in Night At The Museum starring Ben Stiller and Robin Williams.
Besides acting, Stefán has become well-known for his work with Rainbow Children, his organization which works with victims of bullying. Stefán is also a musician, and was for a time a member of the popular Icelandic band, Studmenn. Stefán is also trained in stand up comedy, and has performed in many Icelandic comedy clubs. In 2005, Stefán married actress and former talkshow host Steinunn Ólína Þorsteinsdóttir, and is the father of four children. For a time, Stefán and his wife lived in Los Angeles, and more recently, San Diego, where he resides now. Unlike most stars, Stefán has connected with Lazy Town fans from time to time, and was even available for a telephone interview with a fan. He has also visited the Lazy Town fan community on LiveJournal.
