Known as Maggi Mjói in Icelandic, Jives is a character that appeared in Áfram Latibær, Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ, and Jól í Latabæ.

Áfram Latibær

In the first play, Jives is portrayed as a sloppy, skinny, dispirited, and perhaps arrogant boy. He refuses to eat anything besides coco puffs, and thus doesn't have much energy. But when he meets Íþróttaálfurinn (Sportacus), he discovers that he needs to eat other types of food to grow strong, healthy and happy.

Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ

In the second play, Maggi appears again, but now as a strong, healthy, happy and friendly boy. In contrast to the first play, Jives is given some "cool" mannerisms. He says "Yo!" and "Totally!" as catchphrases.

Trivia

- When Magnús Scheving decided to transform Latibær into a television series, the character, originally, was going to be used for the television series, but was scrapped for unknown reasons.
