From LazyTown Wiki

Magnús Scheving (born November 10, 1964) is the creator and star of LazyTown, in which he plays the superhero Sportacus, and the Chief Executive and co-founder of LazyTown Entertainment. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is about 5'7.

Scheving was born in the capital Reykjavík, but grew up in the small town of Borgarnes. In 1992 he became the Icelandic Men's Individual Champion in Aerobic Gymnastics. In 1993, he became the Scandinavian champion, and was the European champion twice in 1994 and 1995. He was voted Iceland's Athlete of the Year in 1994.

Following this string of successes, in the mid-nineties, Scheving started to use his notoriety within his home country as an athlete to appeal to the youth of Iceland to make healthier choices and to exercise more. This started with him traveling around schools making presentations and quickly led on to a book on the subject and, ultimately, the 1996 stage play Áfram Latibær. When it comes to his interests, Scheving has many. He is a huge fan of all kinds of cars, and owns a Porsche and what seems to be a red sports car with the number 69 painted on it. Back in the days before the Lazy Town TV show, Scheving was the owner of an athletic complex in his native country. Scheving still prides himself on keeping in shape; he had all sorts of exercise equipment at LazyTown's headquarters. He has said that every once in a while, he will have meetings with his staff while on the treadmill. Scheving is also a skilled carpenter; he built his own house from scratch, and also built a hot tub at Lazy Town's HQ. Scheving was married to Ragnheiður Melsted, but the couple divorced in 2014. They had two children together. According to Wikipedia, he also has another daughter from a previous relationship. He has mentioned that he is a "lousy husband but a great father".
