List of soundtrack releases |
LazyTown - The New Album is the second LazyTown soundtrack to be released in the UK. It was originally planned to be released on October 8 2007, but the release was then postponed until October 15. Prior to the release date being changed, many online shops displayed a cover image and track listing that differed slightly from the released product.
As with the previous UK soundtrack, LazyTown - The Album, this release consists of a CD featuring songs from the show, along with karaoke versions of the same songs, and a bonus DVD featuring "Sing-Along videos and Interactive Games".
Oddly enough, for the main body of the album (from "When We Play in a Band" to "Clean Up") the songs are presented in reverse-alphabetical order.

Printing mistakes
Within the lyrics booklet that accompanies LazyTown - The New Album there are a couple of printing mistakes.
- The final double-chorus of "Story Time" is missing from the song's lyrics page, and instead is included at the bottom of the page for "Playing on the Playground", two pages later, without any indication that it is a different song.
- The entire lyrics for "Techno Generation" appear twice in the booklet - on the song's own page and alongside the lyrics for "The Greatest Genie" on the previous page.
Pre-release differences
The pre-release cover of LazyTown - The New Album contained different text within the red box in the bottom corner as follows...
"50 Tracks including Bing Bang Rock and fab New Version of the LazyTown theme song!
Plus Sing-a-long videos of your favourite songs and a brand new INTERACTIVE game!"
(* Note the mention of 50 tracks instead of the final 45, a single interactive game and the questionable spelling of "Sing-a-long".)
The pre-release track listing also differed slightly, including "Welcome to LazyTown - Christmas Version" as the opening track, omitting the new version of "No One is Lazy in LazyTown" but including the bonus track "We are Dancing".
The bonus tracks were also originally in a slightly different order, as follows...
- "Bing Bang - Circus Version"
- "Anything Can Happen"
- "Good To Be Bad"
- "We are Dancing"
- "Bing Bang (Time To Dance) - Single Mix"
Also, according to Amazon.co.uk, the original interactive DVD game was neither of those included with the final release.
It was instead titled Get Up and Go, and featured "Dance routines with Stephanie and fitness / sports with Sportacus."
