There is no selection process in the ''Once Upon a Time'' episode.<br>
After declaring it to be "disguise time", Robbie approaches the disguise machine's chambers, only to find them all empty aside from a triangular sign bearing the symbol of two crossed screwdrivers.

Robbie notes that this means the machine is out of order, but pulls the lever anyway.<br>
Out from the machine pops a small piece of black fur together with a needle and thread, and Robbie reluctantly gets to work making his own costume.
